About Your Room

Welcome Home!

If you would like more information about living on campus, read our FAQ section and explore the residence halls.

What's In Your Room?

You and your roommate(s) will each have a bed (which needs extra long twin bedding), dresser, desk, desk chair, wardrobe/closet, and internet port. College furniture can not be removed from your room unless you are de-tripled. When de-tripling, only the residence director can authorize the removal of furniture from your room.

Internet service and basic cable are included with housing. You will need to provide your own cable TV wire.  Students may also stream cable content on-campus from your computer or on mobile devices using the Spectrum U application.  For more information about the cable service on-campus, including troubleshooting instructions, visit the OIT Service Desk Knowledge Base

Leave your rolls of quarters at home! Free laundry facilities are located in every building.

Bunking/Lofting Beds

Bunk beds and lofts are available in most halls. Due to a limited supply, not everyone can have his or her bed lofted or bunked. Requests are taken through the Facilities Services online work order system for the first six weeks of classes only.

As a freshman, you will likely have two other roommates and be housed in a room that was built for three people. If you are assigned to a "rebate" triple room and have not been de-tripled by the sixth week of the semester, you will receive a rebate credited to your student account. However, if you are given the option to de-triple and you decline, you will forfeit the rebate.
