03/22/2017 - Two programs in the St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Nursing are among the top 200 graduate programs in the country, according to a ranking by U.S. News & World Report. Fisher ranked No. 136 for Best Nursing Schools - Master’s and No. 122 for Best Nursing Schools - Doctor of Nursing Practice on the 2018 edition of the publication’s “Best Grad Schools” list.

02/02/2017 - This spring, students and faculty from the St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy and Wegmans School of Nursing are teaming up to compete in the Script Your Future Medication Adherence Challenge. The competition encourages an interprofessional team of students to create activities and initiatives to raise awareness about the importance of medication adherence.

New Club Supports Students Dealing with Mental Illness NAMI on Campus executive board members attended the Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide this past fall.

01/31/2017 - A new initiative at St. John Fisher College aims to aid and support students dealing with mental illness. NAMI on Campus is the collegiate chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the nation’s largest mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Though it just launched at Fisher last fall, NAMI’s Rochester chapter has served the community for 35 years.

12/07/2016 - There is a significant shortage of mental health providers to meet the needs of children in the greater Rochester region. The Graduate Program in Mental Health Counseling at St. John Fisher College hopes to address that by providing students with enhanced opportunities to gain cutting-edge skills to effectively counsel this underserved population.
