06/14/2018 - Michelle Ubowski, a rising fourth-year student at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College, was recently awarded a highly selective Gateway to Research Scholarship through the American Foundation of Pharmacy Education (AFPE).

06/13/2018 - The Buffalo Bills have released the schedule for the 2018 Training Camp, presented by Connors & Ferris. Beginning Thursday, July 26, St. John Fisher College will welcome the team back to campus for the 19th straight year.

06/13/2018 - Dr. John Kiweewa, assistant professor of mental health counseling at St. John Fisher College, was awarded a fellowship by the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP) to work with Makerere University in Uganda as they refine and develop curriculum around mental health counseling.

06/11/2018 - Jack DePeters ’73, senior vice president of store operations for Wegmans Food Markets, Inc., has been named chair of the St. John Fisher College Board of Trustees. DePeters succeeds Martin K. Birmingham, president and chief executive officer of Financial Institutions, Inc. and its subsidiary, Five Star Bank, who completed a two-year term as chair. Diana Nole, chief executive officer of Wolters Kluwer Health, will become the first female to hold the role of vice chair of the College's Board.

06/08/2018 - St. John Fisher College’s Office of Safety and Security and Emergency Response Team (ERT) is teaming up with the Brighton Fire Department and other county responding agencies to conduct a high-rise simulated fire in Haffey Hall.

06/06/2018 - During the 2018-2019 academic year, undergraduate students at St. John Fisher College will swap their life stories, play competitive brain games, and track their daily fitness and health goals, but they won’t be talking to each other. Instead, the Fisher students will be building bonds with senior citizens who volunteer with The Community Place of Rochester, thanks to a collaboration between two professors in the sociology and biology departments.

06/01/2018 - As a population, studies show that individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing are nearly seven times more likely to lack basic health information compared to the hearing population, leading to increased risk for illnesses including diabetes. One reason for the knowledge gap? A scarcity of resources and material in American Sign Language (ASL). That’s a problem two faculty members at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College are working to change.

05/31/2018 - On Friday, May 4, the St. John Fisher College Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education held its annual Education Celebration, recognizing the College’s support for education, educators, and community leadership. Graduating seniors, graduate candidates, and alumni were honored during the event.
