Fisher to Host Seven Events Leading Up to Solar Eclipse The 360-degree photo of the Fisher athletic fields warped to be shaped like a planet.

03/29/2024 - Rochester is poised to witness a total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, marking a significant astronomical event for the region. This occurrence will be the first total solar eclipse in Rochester since January 24, 1925, and it won’t happen again until October 26, 2144. To celebrate this historic event, St. John Fisher University will be hosting multiple events in the week leading up to the eclipse.

Fisher Recognized as a 2024-2025 Military Friendly School Seal: Military Friendly School 24-25 Gold

03/27/2024 - St. John Fisher University has been recognized as a 2024-25 Military Friendly School in a list published by Viqtory Media. Fisher was categorized as a private university that offers a doctorate and was given a gold ranking, indicating that the institution was within 10% of the 10th-ranked organization. The University was also acknowledged as a military spouse-friendly school.
