This page provides answers to common questions related to the Health and Wellness Center.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Medical services provided at the Health and Wellness Center are billed to your insurance company. Come to your appointment prepared and bring your ID and insurance card.

Can I come to the Health and Wellness Center without an appointment?

While it is possible to walk into the Health and Wellness Center, appointments for non-urgent issues are strongly recommended. Urgent medical needs will be assessed more immediately for care of plan instructions. Mental health crisis appointments are generally available on a walk-in basis.

Does the Health and Wellness Center charge fees for services?

Medical services provided at the Health and Wellness Center are billed to your insurance company. Come to your appointment prepared and bring your ID and insurance card. Students who do not have insurance will be charged $25 for each service.

Does the Health and Wellness Center have a pharmacy?

The Health and Wellness Center stocks some common antibiotics for dispensing by the practitioners on an as needed basis. We also have a program with Wegmans whereby a prescription can be called into the Wegmans pharmacy at a nearby store location, and they will deliver the prescription to the Health and Wellness Center for you to pick up.

Can I get a doctor's note to excuse me from class?

It is your responsibility to discuss missed classes with your instructor(s). For more information, please review the full Medical Excuse Policy [pdf].

What if I get sick or hurt after the Health and Wellness Center is closed?

If you have an emergency and you are off campus you should call 911 immediately. If you are on campus, Security can be contacted for an emergency at (585) 385-8111. The security officers are all trained in first aid and carry a supply of first aid equipment with them. Visit our appointments and hours page for more information about after hours care.
