04/27/2017 - On Wednesday, April 19, the Department of Mathematical and Computing Sciences inducted three new members to the New York Alpha Sigma Chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon at St. John Fisher College. Pi Mu Epsilon is a national mathematics honor society with chapters at 400 undergraduate institutions across the country.
04/25/2017 - The Upsilon Rho chapter of Beta Beta Beta held its 2017 Induction Ceremony on Thursday, March 30. The event included a welcome from Dr. James Bowers, interim dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, and remarks from Dr. Maryann Herman, interim chair of the Biology Department.
04/24/2017 - St. John Fisher College’s Eta Chi chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma, the national foreign language honor society, inducted 16 new members during a ceremony on Thursday, April 20. The honor society is sponsored by the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures.
04/19/2017 - On Saturday, April 8, 10 members of the Upsilon Rho chapter of Beta Beta Beta, the Biological Honor Society, along with the chapter faculty advisor Dr. Noveera Ahmed, and interim Biology Department chair Dr. Maryann Herman, attended the 2017 TriBeta Northeast-3 District Convention.
04/13/2017 - During a ceremony on Tuesday, April 11, members of the St. John Fisher College community helped dedicate a laboratory in the Integrated Science and Health Sciences Building in honor of the contributions of the Loss Family.

03/30/2017 - Two faculty members at St. John Fisher College received a $100,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), which will fund a project aimed at generating discussions of duty, patriotism, and loyalty among Rochester-based veterans through the exploration of World War I and the Afghanistan/Iraq counter-insurgencies.
03/30/2017 - Three-time sports Emmy award winner Michelle Girardi Zumwalt ’04 will deliver the 2017 Lobene Lecture in the Humanities, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, in Basil 135.
