02/15/2018 - This spring, St. John Fisher College alumna Rebecca Delaney ’10 will band together with Dr. Mike Boller to strengthen the College’s connection to the Fast Forward Film Festival, which showcases environmental films made by Rochesterians.
02/14/2018 - The next featured senior in our Countdown to Commencement video series is Justin Townsend, a biology major and member of the men’s lacrosse team. Townsend was nominated by one of his professors, Dr. Daryl Hurd, associate professor and chair of the Biology Department.
02/06/2018 - A one day conference at St. John Fisher College will commemorate the life and work of American abolitionist, Frederick Douglass. Timed to celebrate his 200th birthday, the conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, in the Golisano Gateway Midlevel.
02/05/2018 - The Empire 8 Athletic Conference has released its President's List recipients for fall 2017; recognizing collegiate student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom. This season, Fisher had 117 students make the list, hailing from 16 Fisher sports teams. Leading the pack was the women’s tennis squad, which earned a combined 3.64 grade point average.
02/01/2018 - Next fall, Rochester-area middle school students will have the chance to convert waste into biodiesel, thanks to the efforts of Dr. Renuka Manchanayakage, assistant professor of chemistry at St. John Fisher College.
01/26/2018 - Jeremy Sarachan, associate professor and chair of the Department of Media and Communication, had his short play, “Still Cheese Runs Deep,” performed at the 2 Pages/2 Voices 2018 playwriting competition sponsored by Geva Theatre Center and Writers and Books.

01/23/2018 - Humor. That’s the element that School of Business Dean Dr. Rama Yelkur says will help Super Bowl LII advertisers emerge as the most popular on USA Today’s Ad Meter. Yelkur has spent the last 20 years drawing up the game plan for Super Bowl ad success, and will share her research during the February First Friday Lecture on Friday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. in Cleary Family Auditorium.
01/23/2018 - Earlier this month, St. John Fisher College student Diana Russo ’18 was crowned Miss Finger Lakes 2018. The pageant, which is part of the Miss America Organization, serves as a preliminary competition for Miss New York, held in June 2018.
