02/02/2017 - This spring, students and faculty from the St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy and Wegmans School of Nursing are teaming up to compete in the Script Your Future Medication Adherence Challenge. The competition encourages an interprofessional team of students to create activities and initiatives to raise awareness about the importance of medication adherence.

02/02/2017 - More than 130 years after it was written, the central themes of Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are as relevant as ever. Faculty members associated with Fisher Reads, a shared reading program at St. John Fisher College, will explore those themes and more during a series of events devoted to the classic novel.

02/02/2017 - When dancers take the floor for the 2017 Teddi Dance for Love, they step into a legacy 35 years in the making. Transcending well beyond the $1 million the fundraiser has generated for Camp Good Days and Special Times, alumni of the 24-hour dance-a-thon say its legacy is in the smiles of children who visit during Camper Hour, the lifelong friendships formed on the dance floor, and the idea that a person can make a difference one dance step at a time.

New Club Supports Students Dealing with Mental Illness NAMI on Campus executive board members attended the Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide this past fall.

01/31/2017 - A new initiative at St. John Fisher College aims to aid and support students dealing with mental illness. NAMI on Campus is the collegiate chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the nation’s largest mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Though it just launched at Fisher last fall, NAMI’s Rochester chapter has served the community for 35 years.

01/26/2017 - To mark National Girls and Women in Sports Day, held on Wednesday, Feb. 1, the St. John Fisher College’s Sport Management Department will run an annual essay contest and sell t-shirts promoting the day.

Accounting Students Earn Honorable Mention at National Tax Competition Fisher students Tyler Carroll, Nicholas Christiano, Amaris Rodriguez, Matt Colicchia, and Jacob Covert received an honorable mention at the national Deloitte FanTAXtic competition.
