Class of 2022 Earn Their White Coats

On Sunday, Jan. 13, the Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College honored the 56 members of the Class of 2022 during its annual White Coat Ceremony.

A rite of passage for students, the ceremony celebrated the successful completion of their first semester at the School and formally welcomed them into the pharmacy profession. 

During the ceremony, Dr. Christine Birnie, dean of the School, offered welcoming remarks and first-year student Tyler Surman spoke on behalf of his class.

John T. McDonald, a member of the New York State Assembly and the only practicing pharmacist to sit on the legislature, delivered the ceremony’s keynote address.

The ceremony concluded with the Class of 2022 reciting the Oath of a Pharmacist, led by Dr. Christopher Noel, assistant professor.
