Student Council Promotes Philanthropy at Fisher Students have fund during a Philanthropy Week event.

03/23/2017 - As a relatively new club at St. John Fisher College, the Philanthropy Council is making its presence known on campus. Through one of their biggest initiatives of the year—Philanthropy Week—the council has made significant strides in educating students about the positive impact of philanthropy at the College.

03/22/2017 - Two programs in the St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Nursing are among the top 200 graduate programs in the country, according to a ranking by U.S. News & World Report. Fisher ranked No. 136 for Best Nursing Schools - Master’s and No. 122 for Best Nursing Schools - Doctor of Nursing Practice on the 2018 edition of the publication’s “Best Grad Schools” list.

03/22/2017 - St. John Fisher College honored James P. Brennan ’92 as the 2017 Accounting Alumnus of the Year during the 28th annual Accounting Awards Banquet, held on Thursday, March 16. Brennan, partner and Upstate New York Office audit leader for Deloitte & Touche LLP, was honored for his noteworthy career achievements, significant humanitarian efforts, and outstanding contributions to the Fisher community.

03/22/2017 - Earlier this year, New York State Governor Cuomo’s proposed the Excelsior Scholarship Program,which would provide free tuition for New York State residents who enroll at either the State University or City University of New York. The proposal would significantly impact the financial health of independent private colleges like Fisher who are already faced with maintaining enrollment in an environment of increasingly challenging demographics.

Ed.D. Program Hosts Leadership Panel Dr. Betty Rosa, Dr. Wiliam Johnson, and Mary Fox-Alter spoke about leadership during the panel discussion.

03/21/2017 - The St. John Fisher College Executive Leadership Doctoral Program at its extension site at the College of New Rochelle held its first Leadership Panel on February 16, 2017. This inaugural event focused on K-12 school leadership.

Sport Management Program to Honor NBA Exec Gail Hunter

03/21/2017 - The St. John Fisher College Sport Management program has announced that Gail Hunter, vice president of public affairs and event management at the Golden State Warriors, will be honored as the program’s 2017 Sport Manager of the Year, during an awards ceremony this April.

Fisher Football Team Given Prestigious Semper Fi Award St. John Fisher College's football team was given the Semper Fidelis Award.

03/20/2017 - The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College football team held its annual banquet on Saturday, March 18, where it received one of the highest civilian distinctions. During the banquet, the United States Marine Corps presented Head Coach Paul Vosburgh and members of the team with the Semper Fidelis Award.

Relay Marks 15 Years of Walking for ACS A luminary at Relay for Life.

03/16/2017 - This month, St. John Fisher College will host the 15th annual Relay for Life, an inspirational 12-hour event to celebrate and honor those who have been affected by cancer. Students, faculty, staff, and community members alike come together in a family-friendly, high-energy atmosphere to not only remember, but to fight back against cancer by walking together towards a cure.

03/16/2017 - Students in the Digital Cultures and Technologies program’s Interaction Art course visited the Albright Knox Museum in Buffalo on Friday, Feb. 17, to learn more about avant-garde art and art gallery presentation. During their visit, they had the opportunity to visit the current Picasso exhibit, along with the permanent galleries, which include work by Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko.
