03/17/2016 - Ryan Mahoney ’08 has traced quite a few familial lines back to Ireland, but has traveled to the country just once, as a Fisher undergraduate during Spring Break. Now, as the executive director of the Irish American Heritage Museum in Albany, New York, he finds himself immersed in the heritage and tradition of his ancestors.
03/17/2016 - Two programs in St. John Fisher College’s Wegmans School of Nursing are among the top 100 nursing graduate programs in the country, according to a ranking by U.S. News & World Report. Fisher ranked No. 70 for Best Nursing Schools - Master’s and No. 77 for Best Nursing Schools - Doctor of Nursing Practice on the 2017 edition of the publication’s “Best Grad Schools” list.
03/17/2016 - For the more than 800 student-athletes at SJFC, a key factor to success on the field is preparation. And, thanks to a gift from Fisher alumnus Ralph Fornuto '84, current and future Cardinal athletes will continue to enjoy a dedicated space on campus to review game film, meet with coaches, and prepare for their competitions each week. On Tuesday, March 15, the College formally thanked Fornuto for his generosity during a ceremony that dedicated the Fornuto Film and Video Room in his honor.

03/17/2016 - Celebrated Irish actor Bosco Hogan, perhaps best known for his role as Bishop John Fisher in Showtime’s “The Tudors,” spent the week at St. John Fisher College, sharing his experiences playing the College’s namesake and delivering a one-man performance of “I AM of IRELAND: An Entertainment of W.B. Yeats.”
03/16/2016 - In a recent survey of pharmacy school administrators, only 23 percent of respondents reported that their schools held LGBT training programs such as Safe Zone, Safe Space, or Ally programs. That's a statistic Wegmans School of Pharmacy faculty member Dr. Jennifer Mathews is hoping will increase through a concerted effort to better educate administrators, faculty, students, and preceptors about the importance of understanding the unique health care needs of LGBT patients.
03/15/2016 - On Saturday, March 12, the St. John Fisher College Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education held the fifth hooding and awards ceremony for graduates of the Ed.D. in Executive Leadership program at the College of New Rochelle, one of two extension sites where the program is offered.
