African American Studies Program Requirements

The 18-credit-hour minor consists of a required introductory course, black history and culture classes, and an elective related to the African American experience, chosen from a slate of multidisciplinary offerings.

African American Studies Minor

Requirements

A grade point average of 2.00 is required for all courses taken in residence that may be applied to the minor. Courses may not be used for credit in the student's major and the AFAM minor without permission of the minor program director.
