Great Beginnings Summer Orientation

Great Beginnings summer orientation is for incoming first-year students and their families to get to know what life is going to be like as a Fisher Cardinal.

Great Beginnings is an excellent opportunity to learn about life at Fisher, get questions answered, and meet with other new students.

What Happens at Great Beginnings?

Join Us On-Campus

Spend time on campus and make connections with students who will be starting in the fall with you, as well as current Fisher students, staff, and faculty. In addition to getting to know others while learning more about Fisher, you will receive your iPad through the iFisher Initiative. Another highlight of Great Beginnings is getting a sneak peek at your first college course schedule! You will have the opportunity to meet your first-year advisor (a Center for Career and Academic Planning advisor) who is an integral part of your support network. Topics covered include academic support, student activities, residential life, accessibility, health, financial services, and so many more.

Meet Your First-Year Advisor

During the months of July and August we will schedule a personalized one-on-one Zoom meeting with your first-year advisor. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about YOU - your family, interests, hobbies! We will answer any questions you still have, help you feel confident about starting classes, and, most importantly, do our best to make sure you are as excited as we are to officially begin your Fisher experience.
