#Fisher2019: Finance Major Calls Fisher Education “Priceless”

May 30, 2019

After four years of coursework at St. John Fisher College, Ranking Scholar Awardee Anthony Scarcelli earned one of the highest cumulative grade point averages among the Class of 2019. So, when he calls the education he received at Fisher priceless, he knows what he’s talking about.

“I was fortunate enough to be able to tackle two disciplines,” says Scarcelli, who majored in corporate finance and minored in religious studies. “That taught me how to be a productive member of society that accepts diversity.”

He credits professors at the College, including Drs. Robert Dunbar, Patricia Wollan, and Robert Ruehl, with influencing his academic career and career path.

While he is exploring full-time work this summer and is eager to use the tools he has sharpened at Fisher in the finance profession, Scarcelli knows his educational path is not over yet.

“In five years, I hope to have just earned a master’s degree in finance and be in the process of deciding whether to re-enter the workforce or move on to a Ph.D. in finance,” he says.
