Students, Faculty Attend Biology Conference
Faculty members and students from St. John Fisher College were among the attendees at the first-ever Developmental Biology New York Conference, held at Ithaca College this fall.
The conference focused on undergraduate research, and included student talks, a poster session, and keynote address delivered by Dr. Divya Shiroor, from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Drs. Daryl Hurd, Ed Freeman, Janet Lighthouse, and Todd Camenisch attended the conference with seven undergraduate students. Among them was Maura Connorton, who was selected to give an oral presentation on her research paper, “Drosophila as a model for understanding Bisphenol A promotion of obesity via reduction of lipolysis.”
