11/02/2017 - St. John Fisher College will join a nationwide celebration of first generation students on Wednesday, Nov. 8. Launched this year by the Council for Opportunity in Education, the First Generation College Student Celebration Day provides an opportunity for colleges and universities to formally recognize the presence and experiences of first generation students.

10/30/2017 - Dr. Barbara Lowe, associate professor of philosophy and director of First-Year Programs in the School of Arts and Sciences, has been named the 8th recipient of the Dr. Mark Szarejko Faculty Information Literacy Award. Every year, Lavery Library chooses one member of the St. John Fisher College faculty who actively supports information literacy to receive the award, given for Mark Szarejko ’80 in recognition of his support of the Library.
