A Message from President Gerard Rooney Kearney Hall

11/18/2015 - It is my sincere pleasure to write to you in my role as president of St. John Fisher College. I have very much enjoyed my first few months in this new role, and it’s hard to believe that this fall semester is almost behind us. I have had the opportunity to spend more time with many of your students either at meetings with the Student Government Association, lunch with our student ambassadors, or at a variety of campus activities.

Annual Giving Campaign Kicks Off with Luncheon Kearney Hall

10/20/2015 - The fifth annual 4A’s Agency Transformation Conference was held at St. John Fisher College on Wednesday, Oct. 14, in the Joseph S. Skalny Welcome Center.

09/22/2015 - This week, Pope Francis will visit Washington, D.C., New York City, and Philadelphia. As the fourth pope to visit the United States, Pope Francis’ trip includes a meeting with President Barack Obama, visits and Masses at churches in each city, and addresses and visits at state landmarks. Fr. William Graf, chair of the Department of Religious Studies at St. John Fisher College, says he expects Pope Francis will listen as much as he addresses those he meets with during his trip.

Biology Undergrad “Knee-deep” in Research Kearney Hall

09/16/2015 - This summer, Daniel Zimmerman ’16, spent a lot of time on the shores of Lake Ontario, but he wasn’t basking in the sun. He was studying freshwater bacterial populations in the lake for a research project funded by a National Geographic Society Explorer’s Award and Fisher’s Summer Fellows Research Program.

Wes Renfro, assistant professor of Political Science at St. John Fisher College, says this is the opportunity for candidates to step out of Donald Trump’s shadow.

09/11/2015 - Nearly 20 members of the St. John Fisher College football team traveled to Spencerport to work with young athletes of the Junior Rangers flag football teams.
