Hope in Recovery
For Alcohol Awareness Month, The Office of Campus Life and The Health & Wellness Center bring you Hope in Recovery, a moving event on April 8, at 8 p.m. in Wilson Formal.
Date: April 8, 2019 - April 8, 2019
Time: 8 p.m.
Location: Wilson Formal Lounge, Haffey Hall
Hosted by the Office of Campus Life and the Health and Wellness Center
Hope in Recovery will feature two local people who will be sharing their story of addiction, strength, and recovery.
Lore McSpadden of Positive Force Movement (featured in Vice) and Robert Veeder (featured in Huffpost) will be sharing their stories with us. Lore is a performing strength artist and will bend their story into a sculpture and Robert will captivate us with how he found hope after his drinking and driving accident in 2003 cost six people their lives.
There will be a chance to win the strength sculpture that Lore creates. Students will get a raffle ticket for attending and Faculty/Staff/Public can purchase them for $3 dollars.
All proceeds benefit The Positive Force Movement Accessible Space on Blossom Road.
