06/08/2023 - The Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing at St. John Fisher University is proud to announce the participants for the 2023-2024 Golisano Fellowship in Developmental Disability Nursing. The cohort is the second to participate, following the inaugural Fellowship completed in 2022.

05/13/2023 - Each year, St. John Fisher University honors graduating seniors for their academic successes. Among the Class of 2023, six students who graduated in December 2022 and May 2023 were recognized for exceptional academic performance. These are the highest honors bestowed to baccalaureate students during their time at the University.

05/12/2023 - The Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher University conferred baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees on more than 200 graduates during its Commencement ceremony on Friday, May 12. The University also bestowed a President’s Medal upon Ann Costello, executive director of the Golisano Foundation, for her leadership and advocacy for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Special Ceremony Celebrates Graduating Student-Athletes Tara Osterdale, an inclusive childhood education graduate, co-chair of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and member of the women’s lacrosse team, delivered remarks on behalf of her class.

Branson Elected President of Nurse Practitioner Association New York State Desiree Branson

05/10/2023 - Dr. Desiree’ M. Branson, DNP, RN, FNP-C, EBP-C, was elected to serve as president of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State (NPA). She is an assistant professor in the Wegmans School of Nursing graduate program.

04/20/2023 - In his book, Creating Wicked Students: Designing Courses for a Complex World, Dr. Paul Hanstedt encourages professors to create courses that will prepare students to address “wicked problems,” or issues that are forever changing and require innovative and dynamic thinking to solve them.
