#Fisher2020: Pharmacy Grad Ready to Put Skills to Work Sarah Nicole Belz

07/22/2020 - Dr. Sarah Nicole Belz ’20 (Pharm.D.) has wasted no time putting her newly minted doctor of pharmacy degree to work. The Auburn, New York native graduated from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy in May, and began a Post-Graduate Year 1 residency at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse just two months later.

06/16/2020 - Wegmans School of Pharmacy students working with Dr. Gabriella Cipriano at the Anthony Jordan Health Center this spring were ready to learn about her specialty in diabetes medication management. Emily Gadarowski, a fourth year student who fulfilled her Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) rotation with Cipriano, said it was an opportunity to apply the knowledge learned in class to individual patients, taking into consideration their socioeconomic status and health literacy.

06/12/2020 - Fourth-year pharmacy student Gillian Eppinger was completing her Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) rotation at Hilton Family Pharmacy when a customer experienced a medical emergency. Drawing on the knowledge she has gained during her studies, she was able to jump in and help. She shares her experiences here.

05/06/2020 - Dr. Kyle W. Richards has spent his career mentoring the next generation of pharmacists. Following graduation from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, he engaged in a Post-Graduate Residency Year (PGY1) in pediatrics at Strong Memorial Hospital, before serving as a clinical specialist at the hospital for several years.
