St. John Fisher University Summer Theater Presents "The Skin of Our Teeth"

St. John Fisher University Summer Theater presents its first production, "The Skin of Our Teeth," by Thornton Wilder.

Date: Sunday, June 30, 2024
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Cleary Family Auditorium, Kearney Hall

Wilder's play tells the story of Mr. and Mrs. Antrobus, their children Henry and Gladys, and their maid Sabina as the deal with the effects of the ice age, impending flood, and war. Written during World War II, the play depicts human's ability to triumph over disaster and resonates with our current issues of climate change and international tensions. The play interweaves the main narrative with the difficulties faced by the theatrical production, bringing the idea of adversity to the present.

With a large cast that includes both community members and Fisher students on stage and in the crew, the production will be staged throughout Cleary Family Auditorium intimately with the audience.

The play runs June 28 (7:30 p.m.), June 29 (7:30 p.m.), and June 30 (2 p.m.). Tickets are $10 for community members and $5 for Fisher students, staff, and faculty.
