About Your Room

Welcome Home!

If you would like more information about living on campus, read our new student FAQ section and explore the residence halls.

Room and Residence Hall Amenities

You and your roommate(s) will each have a bed (which needs extra long twin bedding), dresser, desk, desk chair, and wardrobe/closet. College furniture cannot be removed from your room.

Each residence hall offers Wi-Fi, cable, laundry, and lounge spaces. For a detailed description of each residence hall and the different amenities available, please review the residence hall pages.

Bunking and Lofting Beds

Bunk beds and lofts are available in most halls. Due to a limited supply and physical limitations in some residence halls, not everyone can have their bed lofted or bunked. More information about bunking and lofting is available on each residence hall page. Requests for furniture changes are accepted through the Facilities Services online work order system during the first six weeks of classes only.

Internet and Cable Service

Internet

Internet is included with housing. Students have the option to connect their devices using a wired ethernet connection or wirelessly using the residence hall Wi-Fi. Students who wish to connect using a wired connection are responsible for providing their own ethernet cable.

Cable

There are many different options for viewing cable content on-campus. Students can use a traditional TV or stream live TV online. Students who wish to connect a traditional TV are required to bring a TV with a QAM or digital tuner and a coaxial cable. For more information about the cable service on campus, including troubleshooting instructions, visit the OIT Service Desk Knowledge Base.

Streaming Options while Using College Wi-Fi

Laundry

Free laundry facilities are located in every residence hall. The College provides high efficiency front load washers, so H.E. liquid laundry detergent is recommended.
