Allergy Injection Protocol

Both groups provide allergy injections by appointment only Monday through Friday. There are multiple appointment opportunities available, and appointments begin early in the day and continue until late afternoon.

Once you have decided which group you would like to go with, please call them as soon as possible to make arrangements. Depending on which group you choose to go with, you must have your current allergist send your records to the office. These records must be received by the office before your first appointment so the staff can review the records and be ready to serve you at your appointment. You will also need to have your extracts either mailed to the office before your first appointment or bring the extracts with you to your first appointment. In addition, you will need to complete a new patient form per the office request. Please check with the office to make sure that your insurance is accepted by the group and if there is a co-pay associated with each visit.

Transportation

Students in their first year at Fisher are typically not permitted to bring cars to campus. Should you feel this situation necessitates you having a car on campus, we ask you to send a written request to the director of freshman admissions, along with supporting documentation of the frequency of allergy visits, as soon as possible.

You may also utilize a taxi service to get to and back for your appointments. The one that we have utilized in the past is Rochester ASAP Taxi and can be reached at (585) 279-9999 to make arrangements. Taxi fares are your responsibility.

If you have any questions or need our assistance with this, please contact the Health and Wellness Center at healthcenter@sjfc.edu or call (585) 385-8280.
