Schwartz has been teaching at Fisher since 2005, and previously taught at Keuka College, Houghton College and Geneva College. He has extensive elementary teaching experience in the Honeoye, Avon, and Webster Central School Districts, as well as the Lima Christian School. In addition, Schwartz has been a contributing writer for several education textbooks. He has written articles in professional journals including Teaching Children Mathematics, and Christian Scholars Review. He has also served as the Senior Content Editor for a series of mathematics books used in elementary and middle schools. He received his bachelor of science and master of science from the State University of New York at Geneseo, and went on to earn his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Schwartz is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the American Educational Research Association.
