12/06/2021 - This December, four members of St. John Fisher College’s New York State Education Department’s Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) will successfully earn their diplomas. During a ceremony on Friday, Dec. 3, seniors Alexis Diaz, Ashley Wightman, Naima Omar, and Alex Carabello were honored and recognized for their academic accomplishments.
12/03/2021 - Students: the fall semester is coming to an end, and you will soon be home for break. That’s 24 days of sleep, attending family gatherings, relaxing, and more. But in all reality, how much of that time can you spend eating fruit cake?
11/18/2021 - This fall, students in the Learning Community course, Refugees and Race in Rochester, are hosting a New Toy and Warm Clothing Drive to benefit refugee families at Mary’s Place.
11/15/2021 - It’s not every year you’ll see a set of three siblings on the same athletic team. It’s even more rare to have two sets of three siblings on two teams. But this year, trios of siblings on the St. John Fisher College women’s cross country team and men’s soccer team bring new meaning to the term Fisher family.
11/08/2021 - The longest running student-led tradition, the Teddi Dance for Love, celebrates a major milestone in 2022. This week, the over 200-member committee will be decorating campus and holding special events to mark the 100-day countdown to the main event, which officially begins on Wednesday, Nov. 10.
11/05/2021 - Now through Thursday, Nov. 18, Fisher Dining Services and the Office of Campus Ministry are hosting a non-perishable food and household items collection drive to benefit Saint Joseph’s House of Hospitality.
11/04/2021 - Roc Your Global Future, a collaboration of the study abroad offices from area colleges and universities, will host a series of events during ROC International Education Week (ROC IEW), held Monday, Nov. 15 through Friday, Nov. 19.
11/01/2021 - It’s okay to check in on your mental health. That’s the message St. John Fisher College students took from Fresh Check Day, which brought more than 150 students to LeChase Commons to reflect on their mental health and wellness and to learn more about the campus resources available to them.
10/29/2021 - A twice-monthly peer support group on campus is designed to help students address their mental health issues with the assistance of peers and professionals. A cross-campus collaboration, the sessions are organized by Dr. Chris Noel, visiting associate professor in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, and facilitated by two graduate students in the mental health counseling program in the Wegmans School of Nursing.
10/28/2021 - Fisher undergraduate students who conducted academic research are invited to submit their abstracts to Posters on the Hill 2020, sponsored by the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR).
