Part-Time Faculty Honored during Spring Reception

This spring, part-time faculty were honored with awards in teaching excellence, excellence in service, and excellence in innovation as part of the Annual Part-Time Faculty Appreciation Reception.

Maureen Barry (pictured above right, with Dr. Dr. Deborah Uman), an adjunct faculty member in the English Department, was given the Karyl Mammano Excellence in Service Award.

Lisabeth Puckett, who teaches in the library media graduate program in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education, was given the Excellence in Innovation Award.

Clayton Osborne was the recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award.

Clayton Osborne, who teaches in the School of Education’s executive leadership doctoral program, was the recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award.

Nearly 30 faculty, adjunct faculty, and staff attended the reception, which was planned by Cara Angie, David Bell, Lafayette Eaton, Fionnuala Regan, Jane Snyder, and Kermin Martinez-Hernandez.

The event was supported by Provost Kevin Railey and the Program to Enhance Teaching and Learning Committee.
