06/13/2017 - This spring, five St. John Fisher College students made history when they became the first school to claim all five winning spots in the 2017 ETF Global® Portfolio Challenge. Ethan O’Donnell, Cole Smith, Phat Huynh, Carlin Lydon, and John Lehsten—all members of the Class of 2018—took the top spots in the 10-week investment competition, which drew students from 190 schools across 24 countries on five continents.
06/09/2017 - This spring, part-time faculty were honored with awards in teaching excellence, excellence in service, and excellence in innovation as part of the Annual Part-Time Faculty Appreciation Reception.
06/08/2017 - A collaborative research effort by three St. John Fisher College faculty members was featured on the cover of the December issue of the Journal of Nano Education.
06/06/2017 - More than 100 members of the St. John Fisher College community gathered on Tuesday, June 6, to witness the raising of the cross atop the newly constructed Hermance Family Chapel of St. Basil the Great.
06/06/2017 - Ten St. John Fisher College chemistry students presented their undergraduate research at the 62nd Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. Held at Nazareth College in April, the students shared their research either in a poster session or oral presentation.
06/05/2017 - Dr. Mike Wischnowski, dean of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education, served on a panel during the Making Schools the Happiest Places on Earth Conference, held in April.
06/01/2017 - Ten students from St. John Fisher College presented research at conferences and meetings of chemical and biology associations.
05/31/2017 - This summer, Dr. Alvin C. Merritt Boyd, III ’16 (Ed.D.) will be honored with the Leo and Margaret Goodman-Malamuth Dissertation Award, given by the American Association of University Administrators (AAUA).
05/31/2017 - A new partnership between St. John Fisher College and eight community colleges across New York State will offer two qualified students from each school guaranteed acceptance into the Wegmans School of Pharmacy. While Fisher has long partnered with community colleges through 2+2 agreements at the undergraduate level, this initiative marks the first time the College will offer a direct pathway to a doctoral degree program.
05/30/2017 - A team of students and faculty from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy and Wegmans School of Nursing was named a finalist in the “rookie award” category for their participation in the Script Your Future Medication Adherence Team Challenge.
