Ceremony Recognizes Doctoral Graduates at Ed.D. Extension Site

On Saturday, March 17, the St. John Fisher College Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education held a hooding and awards ceremony for graduates of the Ed.D. in Executive Leadership program at Iona College, one of two extension sites where the program is offered.
Dr. Mike Wischnowski, dean of the School of Education, and Dr. Jeannine Dingus-Eason, program director, addressed the 23 graduates present at the ceremony.
Dr. John Gormley was selected as the student speaker. Gormley is dean of student and alumni services at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, a graduate school dedicated solely to leadership in health sciences. He also serves as the Institute’s Title IX Coordinator for students.
During the ceremony, the College honored four students for their achievements. Dr. DaMia Harris-Madden and Dr. Karen Tesik received the Exemplary Performance in Scholarship Award, Dr. Kishon Hickman earned the Exemplary Performance in Service Award, and Dr. Marguerite Brown was given the Exemplary Performance in Leadership Award.
