Rochester Ed.D. Graduates Honored at Hooding Ceremony
On Friday, May 12, the St. John Fisher College Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education hosted a hooding and awards ceremony for 14 candidates in the Doctoral Program in Executive Leadership.
During the ceremony, Dr. Michael Wischnowski, dean of the School, delivered opening remarks, and together with dissertation chairs, committee members, and advisors, performed the hooding. Doctoral candidate Rev. Dr. Ross Chamberland offered remarks on behalf of his fellow graduates. Chamberland is the executive director for the Lateran Center for Catholic Identity, and the special assistant to the vice president for enrollment and member of the faculty at Clare College, which is part of St. Bonaventure University.
Chamberland was also given the Exemplary Performance in Leadership Award during the ceremony. Dr. Djinga King-St. Louis and Dr. Jamie Smith were given the Exemplary Performance in Service Award, and Dr. George Bovenzi and Dr. Rachel Santiago were given the Exemplary Performance in Scholarship Award.
