St. John Fisher College, along with the Monroe County Sports Commission, will host the 2020 NCAA Division III Track and Field Outdoor Championships.

This year marks the sixth season for Fisher’s men’s and women’s track and field teams. This will be the first time Fisher will be a host for the NCAA Championship.

The Polisseni complex—which was built in 2011 thanks to a donation from the Polisseni Foundation—hosts Fisher’s Cardinal Classic and Cardinal Last Chance Meet every year. This May, the complex will also host the NYSCTC Championships.

Currently, the men's team ranks 30th nationally, and has made NCAA Championship appearances the past four seasons, while the women qualified for NCAAs back in 2015. Most recently, the men's team sent Peter Girardi and Mark VanMarter to the NCAA Indoor Championships.
