Countdown to Commencement 2017- Diane Tran

February 13, 2017

Meet Diane Tran, our next featured senior in the 2017 Countdown to Commencement video series. Tran, a business management major and French minor, was nominated by Katie Burke and Dave Roberts from the Office of Freshman Admissions.

Tran is extremely involved in the Fisher community, serving as the tour coordinator and CORE team member for the Office of Freshman Admissions in addition to being a student ambassador. She is also an executive intern in the Office of Institutional Advancement, a member of Fisher Players, and an orientation team leader. In addition, she has studied abroad in Toulouse, France, participated in the Dale Carnegie Leadership Conference, and has volunteered for Color the Roc all four years.

Tran is described by Burke and Roberts as the “mother hen” of the student ambassador program.

“Diane approaches all situations with a maturity beyond her years. She has one of the most tedious and time-consuming jobs on CORE team, but handles it with ease,” they wrote in their nomination.

Burke and Roberts see a promising future for Tran, predicting that she will most likely be in a high leadership and management role in the next five years. Best of luck to you, Diane!
