Countdown to Commencement: Colby Brown

March 13, 2017

Our next featured senior in the 2017 Countdown to Commencement video series is Colby Brown, a media management major who was nominated by Sally Vaughn, director of community service.

Brown has been involved in a number of activities throughout his time at Fisher, basically from his first day on campus. He is perhaps most known as the College mascot, but he has also participated in the Emerging Leaders program for two years and was an orientation team leader for three years. Additionally, he has been a member of Students Who Advocate Volunteering for four years, Council for Exceptional Children for two years, and a Student Government Association senate member. He has previously served as vice president of activities on Student Activities Board and PR coordinator/team member of JASY. Brown is also a Service Scholar and interviews new potential students for the program.

“I will always remember Colby’s giving nature,” said Vaughn. “He is always eager to help, and perhaps even overextends himself, but when he commits, he completes.”

Vaughn predicts big things for Brown, most likely working at a noble media management firm in New York City in five years’ time. “But he will not forget his roots,” she said. “Colby will always be making a difference in others’ lives.”

Best of luck to you Colby. We know you will keep spreading your Cardinal wings to do big things!
