Countdown to Commencement: Sarah Harrington
Our next featured senior in the 2016 Countdown to Commencement video series is Sarah Harrington, who was nominated by Dr. Charlene Smith, professor in the Wegmans School of Nursing.
A nursing major, Harrington has managed to juggle a busy student-athlete schedule as a member of the College's cross country and track and field teams.
She is an active member of the Student Nurses Association, participating in a variety of community service activities. As well, she is in the Nursing Honors Program and is enrolled in the fast-track M.S. program.
Smith called Harrington "quiet and unassuming," but says she has tremendous motivation and drive to be a nurse.
"She is an engaged student with excellent academic credentials. In the classroom she is motivated, respectful, ethical, and demonstrates outstanding academic ability in her course work," Smith added. "Sarah has shown me that she is resilient and able to set goals, balance life, and persevere."
Smith predicts that in five years, Harrington will be a nurse practitioner.
Good luck to you, Sarah!
