Fisher Receives $410,000 Higher Ed Capital Funding for Science Building ISHS Building

02/09/2016 - St. John Fisher College received $410,000 from the Higher Education Capital Match Program (HECap) to assist in the purchase and installation of equipment for the newly opened Integrated Science and Health Sciences Building. A competitive grant program administered by the New York State Dormitory Authority, HECap requires a three to one financial match by the participating college or university to receive the funds. 02/03/2016 - Through the Rochester Youth Year Fellowship, two recent St. John Fisher College alumni are spending their first year as graduates promoting literacy among area elementary school students. Melissa Guck ’15 and Burnette Woody ’15, were both selected as fellows in the Americorps*VISTA-sponsored program, which places recent graduates at community-based organizations for one year to create or expand initiatives that address the various challenges facing youth and families in Rochester.
