Fisher to Host Annual Study Abroad Alumni Conference

October 24, 2019

St. John Fisher College will host the 3rd Annual ROC Your Global Future Re-Entry Conference on Saturday, Nov. 9, to offer returning study abroad students an opportunity to make the most of their international experiences through networking and résumé-building activities.

The conference is supported not only by Fisher’s study abroad office, but the combination of study abroad offices from Nazareth College, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), University of Rochester, SUNY Brockport, SUNY Geneseo, and Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Designed to benefit the hundreds of study abroad returnees from these colleges and universities, the conference will provide students with a chance to speak about their experiences, network with a variety of professionals in multiple fields, and an opportunity to learn how to integrate their study abroad experiences onto their résumés and into their professional lives.

Four breakout sessions will be centered on the themes of: Going Abroad Again, Reflecting on Your Experience, Study Abroad in Your Career, and Becoming a Global Citizen. It will run from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration is now available online and the cost is $15.

The first 10 Fisher students to sign up will have their registration fees covered by The Center for Student Research and Creative Work.
