Fisher was ranked No. 152 in the National Universities category, earning praise for its undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs.

“As we celebrate the College’s 70th anniversary, we are proud of this national recognition of our broadening impact, increasing academic reputation, and growing recognition of the value of a Fisher education,” said Dr. Gerard J. Rooney, president of the College. “Our inclusion underscores the commitment of our faculty and staff to create collaborative, transformational experiences for our students, and speaks to the successful and purposeful lives of our graduates.”

Fisher was also named to U.S. News’ 2019 A-Plus Schools for B Students list, earned the No. 237 spot in the High School Counselor list, and the College’s School of Business undergraduate programs were ranked No. 312.

Fisher’s intimate campus—the student to faculty ratio is 12:1—aids students in their successful completion of their first year and beyond. Fisher’s first-to-second year retention rate is well above the national retention rate for like institutions.

A student-centered focus and emphasis on engaged classroom learning translates into consistently high pass rates on licensure exams in professional programs, while across the College, internship opportunities, experiential learning, international experiences, career services and resources, and a strong alumni network help new graduates navigate their professional careers.

In August, Fisher was also recognized among “America’s Top Colleges,” in an annual report published by Forbes.com. Now in its eleventh year, the report ranks undergraduate institutions based on variables including student satisfaction and academic success, graduation rates, and alumni earnings.

Fisher ranked No. 390 out of the 650 institutions; and also ranked in several other Forbes Top Colleges sub-lists, including Best Private Colleges (No. 257); Best Research Universities (No. 169), and Best Colleges in the Northeast (No. 148).
