Fisher Digital Publications Enjoy Worldwide Popularity
Did you know that articles, presentations, theses and dissertations, and journals created by St. John Fisher College faculty, staff, and students are in demand by peers and colleagues around the world?
Hosted through Lavery Library’s institutional repository, Fisher Digital Publications (FDP), faculty and student scholarship was downloaded 518,553 times worldwide in the past year alone.
According to Alicia Marrese, FDP coordinator for Lavery Library, student scholarship makes up a large portion of the repository. In fact, 1,251 pieces of student scholarship had 386,666 total downloads in the past fiscal year, over 63,000 more downloads than the year before.
“Readers have come from over 215 countries, as far as Malaysia and India,” Marrese said, adding that faculty and staff articles and presentations were downloaded 25,514 times in the past fiscal year, over 7,000 more than last year. “Scholarship was viewed across 2,969 different institutions and 158 different countries.”
