Nursing Association Honors Dollinger
Dr. Marilyn Dollinger, professor and executive associate dean of the Wegmans School of Nursing, was recently honored by the American Nurses Association of New York (ANA-New York).
The professional organization presented her with a Certificate of Appreciation for her contributions as chair of the Legislative Committee and for her active role in promoting social advocacy and the BSN-in-10 Initiative.
Elisa Mancuso, president of ANA-New York, selected Dollinger and another colleague, Barbara Zittel, for the special president’s award because of their tenacity and professionalism.
“Marilyn has been the legislative chairperson since the inception of ANA-New York. She relentlessly pushes forward and conquers every obstacle with grace and determination,” Mancuso said. “She has her finger on the pulse of critical issues and has cultivated positive political relationships on both sides of the fence. She is smart, savvy, and ferocious.”
A professional organization, ANA-New York promotes and advocates for the professional and educational advancement of nurses.
