




12/22/2017 - St. John Fisher College was named to Kiplinger’s “300 Best College Values for 2018” ranking, which recognizes colleges and universities for academic quality and affordability. Fisher was listed at No. 297 on the full ranking, and No. 99 among private universities.

12/21/2017 - Fionnuala Regan has been appointed the new coordinator of events for the Irish Studies program, starting on Monday, Jan. 1.

12/19/2017 - On Thursday, Dec. 14, Honors in Nursing distinctions were conferred on four students in the Wegmans School of Nursing—Mary Broderick, Carly Sullivan, Julia Capuson, and Beatrice Czup—following presentations of their projects.

12/14/2017 - Last fall, President Gerard J. Rooney introduced the Executive Intern program for juniors and seniors who had an interest in higher education administration. Now in its second year, four new students—Anna Harmer ’18, Melissa Lennon ’18, James Nguyen ’19, and Stephanie Sortino ’18—were welcomed to the program and have one semester behind them.

12/14/2017 - At the bottom of Great Brook, a small stream that runs through the Ganondagan State Historic Site, lay tiny little organisms called benthic invertebrates. This fall, students in Dr. Chris Collins’ biology course found that while these aquatic creatures may lack a backbone, they can reveal a lot about the overall health of the ecosystem.
