Four from Fisher to Present at UNAR Conference
Four Fisher faculty members will participate on panel discussions during the United Nations Association of Rochester (UNAR) conference, “The Media as an Enabler of Democracy.”
The conference, which will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, at the Rochester Academy of Medicine (1441 East Avenue), brings together scholars and journalists to explore the topic from a variety of perspectives and disciplines. Participating faculty include Drs. Wes Renfro (political science); Kathleen Donovan (political science); Douglas Bicket (media and communication); and Ronen Shay (media and communication). Dr. Oliver Griffin, assistant professor of history, who serves on the board of UNAR, is a co-organizer of the conference.
The conference is open to the public and a $5 donation fee is suggested. Attendees can register online.
