Fisher’s new site, which launched in January 2017, was nominated for the award by mStoner, the digital consulting firm that helped the College design and build its new online presence. Fisher was among eight institutions to be given as Standard of Excellence Award in the education category.

Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association's annual WebAward Competition has set the standard of excellence for website development. Best Education and University websites are selected by judges who review entries using seven key criteria: Design, Ease of Use, Copywriting, Interactivity, Use of Technology, Innovation, and Content.

Earlier this summer, the College’s site also won accolades from the Rochester Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. The site earned a PRism Award in the website (non-profit) category. Nominations for PRism Awards are reviewed by a panel of peer judges from another PRSA chapter and are evaluated based on planning and content; creativity and quality; technical excellence; and assessment and results.
