Fisher Students Place First in RA Case Competition
On Saturday Nov. 6, members of the ResLife staff attended the annual Brockport RA Conference, where two St. John Fisher College RAs, Darienne Slocum and Rob Potenzino, won first place in a case study competition.
The competition tested students’ skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and student affairs. In pairs, participants designed and presented the best possible solution to a challenging hypothetical situation in the field of higher education to a panel of judges.
In addition to the competition, students at the conference heard from keynote speakers and attended sessions on creating an inclusive community, teaching healthy habits to residents, and identifying strategies to be more effective leaders.
