The Friendly Home is located close to the College, and provides nursing care, rehabilitation, and related services for older residents, specifically those with memory difficulties.

Fisher’s AMA chapter has chosen The Friendly Home as the group’s community service sponsor for the 2017-2018 school year. During their time at The Friendly Home last month, the volunteers engaged in casual conversation with the residents, escorted them to various activities occurring throughout the facility, and enjoyed a nature walk in the courtyard.

“It was a really valuable experience to take time out of our days to give back to the community,” said Emily Risch, one of the members of the volunteer group. “The staff conveyed to us how much they appreciated our help and we really felt like we were making a difference in the lives of the residents.”
