Ricca Presents Two Papers at International Conference
Dr. Barney Ricca is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematical and Computing Sciences.
Dr. Barney Ricca presented two papers at the Conference on Complex Systems in Amsterdam, Netherlands, this fall.
The first paper, "State Space Analysis and its Connection to the Classroom," was presented at a session on complex systems in education. Work on the paper was completed with Dr. Kris Green, who is chairman of the department.
The second paper, "Temporal Analysis of Small Group Discourse," was a collaboration with a colleague at Arizona State University, Dr. Michelle Jordan. This presentation was part of a foundations and cognition session. Two Fisher students, Luke Bottar and Camille Pensabene, and recent alumna Sarah Morton ’16 also contributed to the discourse project.
At Fisher, Ricca also serves as director of the graduate program in mathematics, science, and technology education.
