Bills Selected to Serve on American Chemical Society Committee
Dr. Andrea Bills, assistant professor of chemistry, was selected to serve a four-year term on the American Chemical Society’s (ACS) Examinations Institute on the Physical Chemistry Committee.
This committee develops standardized exams for each of the three areas of physical chemistry: quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, and dynamics. These exams are administered as final exams in physical chemistry courses across the nation, including at Fisher.
The appointment was made by the director of the ACS Examinations Institute, Kristen Murphy, who Bills met during her attendance at the Biennial Conference on Chemical Education at the University of Northern Colorado in August 2016. The first committee meeting will take place in spring 2017 at the National ACS conference in San Francisco, California.
