11/07/2016 - The top-seeded St. John Fisher College field hockey team won the program’s first-ever Empire 8 Conference Field Hockey Championship on Saturday, Nov. 5, as the Cardinals earned a 2-1 win over Washington and Jefferson College at Fisher’s Growney Stadium.
11/03/2016 - Student members of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) are hosting an Accessibility Awareness Scavenger Hunt on the St. John Fisher College campus. During the event, scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, teams of two will begin at the Campus Center Mainstage and travel through campus to see how accessible it might-or might not-be to an individual.

11/03/2016 - Dr. Joellen Maples has been named the 2016 Dr. Mark Szarejko Faculty Information Literacy Award recipient. This award, given by Lavery Library to a St. John Fisher College faculty member who actively supports information literacy, is named for Dr. Mark Szarejko ’80 in recognition of his support of the library.
10/31/2016 - The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education 2017 College Rankings placed St. John Fisher College among the top universities and colleges in the nation.
10/28/2016 - The Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher College was recently honored with the Pinnacle Award for Collaboration in Education (PACE); given by Laerdal Medical, a leading provider of medical training products and medical equipment. The School is one of only two nursing education organizations to have ever received the award, which recognizes programs or initiatives that have exhibited consistent excellence in educational philosophy for the purpose of helping to save lives.
10/27/2016 - This month, St. John Fisher College’s School of Business welcomed visiting students and faculty from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), a premier and prestigious institution in the field of commerce and economics education and constituent college of University of Delhi, India. SRCC has built collaborative partnerships with reputable business schools and universities abroad.
10/27/2016 - The Wegmans School of Pharmacy engaged a series of events and awareness efforts to celebrate National Pharmacy Week, held Oct. 16-22. The national celebration is sponsored by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and seeks to acknowledge the invaluable contributions that pharmacists and technicians make to patient care in hospitals, ambulatory care clinics, and other health care settings.
10/27/2016 - On Friday, Oct. 21, the St. John Fisher College Sport Studies Department, in conjunction with the Math Department, hosted the inaugural Analytics Case Challenge, bringing together students, faculty, and staff from multiple departments to engage in a practical application of sport statistics and analytics.
