Helen and Robert Nealon Irish Travel Award

As a Fisher nursing student, you will also have an opportunity to travel to Waterford, Ireland for a transcultural education experience through the Helen and Robert Nealon Irish Travel Award thanks the generosity of Kurt and Suzanne Nealon Schilling. The award was established in memory of Helen and Robert B. Nealon. Helen was a long-time Fisher employee, and she and her husband shared a special love for Ireland. The award, which is also used to support travel or other expenses associated with visiting Irish faculty, is intended to support the connection between Fisher and Ireland.

In addition to Fisher's full-time faculty, the health care professionals in these practice settings participate in the education of Fisher's undergraduate nursing students. They share their knowledge, serve as role models, motivate, and mentor the next generation of Fisher nurses.
