If you have a passion for helping companies and non-profit organizations communicate their missions, products, or brands across a range of media platforms, and a desire to advance in your current communications position, Fisher’s online strategic communication program is for you.

In the program, you will learn professional communication practices and quantitative approaches to problem-solving to achieve business objectives, combining these skills with an understanding of public relations and advertising strategy, social media research, leadership techniques, and brand management.

The graduate-level coursework in public relations, marketing, and advertising focuses on audience analysis, message creation, dissemination, and evaluation.

Program Overview

The online strategic communication curriculum includes 30 credit hours of graduate-level coursework in public relations, advertising, social media, marketing, and leadership. Coursework also includes a one weekend residency on campus at the start of the program where you will be introduced to the field of strategic communication and acquire necessary skills in quantitative analysis and economics. A one weekend residency focused on video and design in the last semester prepares you to be a content creator.

The program culminates with a capstone course on brand management and the opportunity to either complete an executive apprenticeship where you live or explore strategic communication in Europe during a ten-day global experience.

Life After Fisher

As a graduate of the strategic communication graduate program at Fisher, you will be able to apply research techniques to determine best media strategies.

In addition, you will know how to best analyze, design, and implement social media and digital strategies in support of successful public relations and advertising campaigns.

Finally, you will develop and practice executive leadership skills from a global perspective to prepare for executive roles in public relations, advertising, media research, and non-profit firms.
