Master of Public Health (MPH) Program Requirements

The 42 credit hour MPH program offers courses designed for the working professional.

Master of Public Health

Unless otherwise noted, courses are three credits each.

Required Courses – 30 credits

  • GMPH 501 - Principles of Public and Community Health
  • GMPH 503 - Biostatistics
  • GMPH 505 - Epidemiology
  • GMPH 507 - Social and Preventive Health
  • GMPH 509 - Public Health Policy and Healthcare Delivery Systems
  • GMPH 511 - Environmental Health
  • GMPH 513 - Behavioral Health
  • GMPH 515 - Healthcare Administration, Program Planning, and Evaluation
  • GMPH 517 - Data Analytics and Healthcare Information Systems
  • GMPH 519 - Advanced Epidemiology

Electives – 6 credits

Choose TWO courses from the following:

  • GMPH 514 - Aging Populations and Health
  • GMPH 518 - Special Populations
  • GMPH 520 - Global Health

Practicum – 3 credits

  • GMPH 611 - Community-based Practicum
