Felting artist Victoria Conners, along with students from St. John Fisher College, will host “Nature as Muse,” an exhibit held at the Patricia O’Keefe Ross Gallery located in the Joseph S. Skalny Welcome Center on Fisher’s campus.
The exhibit runs from Monday, July 9 through Friday, Sept. 7. The opening reception for the show is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 13.
Interdisciplinary in nature, the show features Conners’ plein art felting, which depicts imagery from national parks; student-created essays from Dr. Deborah Uman’s Ecocomposition course; and images and videos from Documenting the Natural History of the Northeast, an Honors course taught by Drs. Mike Boller, Christopher Collins, Greg Cunningham, and Todd Sodano.
Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon. It is free and open to the public. For more information, email Cathy Sweet at firstname.lastname@example.org.
